When you are preparing to go to Yosemite there are many things you have on your mind. Hotel and car rental reservations, itineraries, and more!
To make the job a little easier here is a list of things to bring that will make the trip more enjoyable for everyone while on your vacation.
Bring bug spray and use it.
Watch the weather and plan for the unexpected with cards, dominoes, and other easy to pack games. Bring things for the car ride to make it fun too.
If the kids are small and you're traveling for a distance, leave just before daylight and let the kids sleep for the first couple of hours.
Easy to prepare foods are the ones kids like best. Hot dogs over an open fire and ramen noodles are two favorites. Ramen noodles are so easy to cook and they're fun to eat. Also try to bring finger foods such as carrots, celery, apples, pretzel sticks, raisins, hard-boiled eggs, and marshmallows. Leave sugary drinks and snacks at home as they do not satisfy hunger and make everyone grumpy.
Bring paper plates, cups, jiffy popcorn, snack pack pudding, and cereal--all easy to transport and easy for kids. Pre-moistened wipes to clean hands/faces, and legs quickly. Also, bring band-aids.
